The Ballys Corporation is demonstrating its commitment to ethical and impactful operations through significant actions. They’ve just appointed Don Westcott, a seasoned professional boasting more than two and a half decades in financial technology and gaming, as their chief compliance executive. His impressive background includes leading worldwide compliance at Nuvei, a prominent payment processing firm. Previously, he played a key role in establishing regulatory and compliance frameworks for major financial entities and fintech companies catering to the gaming sector at Fortune 500 powerhouses like Fiserv and First Data.
Interestingly, Westcott’s career began in the casino realm. He honed his leadership skills at Caesars, Osage Casinos, and Isle of Capri Casinos. His journey even commenced at Jumers Casino & Hotel, now a part of the Bally’s portfolio – a true testament to his full-circle experience.
Furthermore, Bally’s brought on board Tammi Barlow to spearhead their global responsibility and social impact initiatives. A recognizable figure in the gaming sphere, she possesses over ten years of expertise in developing and implementing programs that champion responsible gaming and corporate social responsibility. Prior to joining Bally’s, she was the driving force behind Rush Street Interactives’ social impact strategy, where she prioritized ensuring the excellence of their responsible gaming endeavors.
A prominent advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the gaming sector, Tangie Barlow, has joined the ranks of Bally’s Corporation. Formerly a co-chair and now a committee member of the Global Gaming Women’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion group, Barlow presently leads the National Council on Problem Gambling’s Responsible Gaming Committee. Her commitment to responsible gaming is further demonstrated through her participation in a variety of other groups, such as the Massachusetts Gaming & Health Advisory Committee and the National Association of African Americans in Gaming.
Kim Barker, who serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Bally’s Corporation, conveyed the company’s excitement regarding these appointments, remarking, “Representing the company’s leadership, I want to extend a warm welcome to both Tangie and Tammy as they join Bally’s. As our company experiences continued growth, their vast expertise in compliance, responsible gaming, and social impact will be essential to Bally’s progress.”
