A prominent online gaming company, 888, is strengthening its UK bingo presence through the purchase of several bingo brands operating under the “Jet” name. The transaction, estimated at £18 million (roughly $23.3 million), brings well-known names like Costa Bingo, City Bingo, and Sing Bingo into 888’s portfolio.
These brands were previously utilizing 888’s Dragonfish bingo platform via a business-to-business arrangement. This acquisition transitions them to a business-to-consumer structure, granting 888 direct oversight.
888’s chief executive, Itai Pazner, stressed that this action aligns with their plan of expansion within regulated markets, primarily through internal growth and strategic purchases. He posits that merging these established brands with 888’s operational proficiency in areas like marketing and client relations will unlock substantial growth opportunities.
This purchase follows closely on Pazner’s outline of 888’s wider strategic vision in a recent discussion, emphasizing the company’s aspirations within the online gaming sector.
