Aristocrat Leisure to Acquire NeoGames in $1.2 Billion Deal

A behemoth in the gaming sector, Aristocrat Leisure, is poised to purchase NeoGames for a hefty $1.2 billion. This action follows closely on Fanatics’ procurement of PointsBet’s American business, marking the second significant disruption in the Australian marketplace lately. The agreement assesses NeoGames at $1.2 billion, with each portion fetching $29.50 in cash. It’s noteworthy that NeoGames itself emerged from numerous acquisitions, boasting prominent entities like Pariplay, BtoBet, and Aspire Global within its fold.

NeoGames has swiftly ascended the industry ranks, attracting the attention of major contenders like Aristocrat with its varied offerings encompassing iGaming, sports wagering, lottery, and player administration. Aristocrat, accustomed to bold maneuvers, had previously attempted to secure Playtech in late 2021, but that arrangement collapsed in 2022.

Unfazed, Aristocrat has now targeted NeoGames. Although the provider did disclose a minor net deficit in its initial quarter statement, its income has witnessed remarkable expansion.

John E. Taylor, Head of NeoGames, conveyed his enthusiasm, remarking, “The NeoGames collective has constructed a fantastic enterprise with a robust foundation and specialized holdings. We are delighted that Aristocrat acknowledges the worth we’ve generated as a frontrunner across iLottery, iGaming, and digital sports betting.”

NeoGames Chief Executive Officer, Moti Malul, conveyed his satisfaction with the firm’s accomplishments, underscoring their dominance in iLottery, iGaming, and digital sports wagering. He stressed the strategic alignment and mutual goals shared by NeoGames and Aristocrat, contending that the purchase signifies a favorable result for stakeholders, clientele, and personnel equally.
