Codere, the gambling firm, has welcomed Michal Elimelech to its board of directors, replacing Oscar Iglesias. Elimelech, nominated by Codere, brings a wealth of experience from his time at 888, where he held various roles, including marketing director in the United States, bingo director, and head of developed markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Elimelech most recently served as COO of Passiflora and CMO of Space Ape Games. Patrick Ramsay, the board chair, expressed enthusiasm for Elimelech’s addition, highlighting her expertise in digital marketing and market expansion. “Her skills are a perfect match for Codere Online as it continues to expand in Spain and Latin America,” Ramsay said.
Codere also confirmed Borja Fernandez as chairman of the audit committee, a role he previously held as a non-voting observer. The company has also established a compliance committee, with Ramsay as chair and Elimelech, Rafael Catalá, Mark Dunne, and Yaiza Rodríguez as members.
Codere recently announced a significant reduction in its net loss during the first quarter of 2023, accompanied by a 54% increase in revenue.
Digital gaming income expanded by nine percent, with all operational marketplaces exhibiting year-over-year growth.
